The Youth Center, since May 2003 has started operating its TEEN HOUSE,
which serves as a Resource Center for Reproductive Health
and Reproductive Rights for Adolescents.

TEEN HOUSE

The TEEN HOUSE is fully equipped with two meeting rooms and meeting facilities, counseling room and 10 computers with self-learning programs related to reproductive health for adolescents. A wide range of published materials and audio-visual aids on reproductive health and reproductive rights are available in the reading area. Youth interested in reproductive health and reproductive rights issues can have full access to the facilities.

The TEEN HOUSE is opened 7 days a week and is mainly run by trained youth leaders who are full time project staff and trained university student volunteers who assist on a part time basis.

Since its operation in May 2003 up to December 2003, there were 10 group visits, both from within Thailand and from foreign countries. These visitors included both students, teachers, doctors and those interested in reproductive health for adolescents.

On average, each month, there were about 80 – 100 students coming to TEEN HOUSE for obtaining information as well as participating in the activities organized by the TEEN HOUSE such as computer training
