Mahapajapati Buddhist College (MBC), under the patronage of H.H. Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, is the first college for nuns and women in Thailand. The college was founded in B.E. 2542 (C.E 1999) by Maechee Khunying Kanitha Wichienchareon, with the cooperation of Thai Nuns' Institute Foundation and the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women. MBC is affiliated with the monks' university, Mahamakut Buddhist University.
